What you need to play, how to control the game, and fixes for common problems.
What you need
- A laptop or desktop with a recent Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
- Or an iPad, held in landscape. Phones are too small to play.
- Built to run at 60 frames a second on a 2024 laptop with built-in graphics. About a 2.5 MB download.
Controls

Your saves
Your campaign is saved in your browser, on this device. Clearing your browser's site data for Deity wipes it. To keep a copy or move to another device, use Export save in Settings, then Import save on the other device.
Common fixes
- The picture goes black or freezes
- Open the pause menu (Esc) and choose Reset graphics. The match carries on.
- The game feels slow
- In Settings, set Quality to Balanced or Low. Low turns shadows off.
- No sound on iPad
- Tap the screen once. iPads start sound only after a tap.
- A friend cannot join
- Send the invite link again, or ask them to type the code under Multiplayer.
